Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Giftfolio (the “Service”), a website that lets you send tokenized stocks and graded collectible cards as a shareable claim link on Robinhood Chain. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to you, including any restrictions in your country or region. The Service is not offered where it would be unlawful.
2. What the Service does
The Service helps you create a claim link for an asset (a tokenized stock or a graded card) and share it. Some gifts move a real asset held in an on-chain escrow contract; others are link-based previews. On-chain deployments may run on a test network, and features are experimental and may change or break. Do not treat anything here as a guarantee of value.
3. Not financial, investment, or tax advice
Nothing on the Service is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and we are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or custodian. Prices shown are sourced from third parties for information only and may be delayed or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for your decisions and for any tax consequences.
4. Wallets, blockchain, and irreversibility
- On-chain transactions are final and irreversible. We cannot reverse, cancel, or recover a completed transaction.
- You are responsible for the security of your wallet, keys, and any claim links you hold or share. Anyone with a valid claim link may be able to claim the gift.
- Network conditions, gas sponsorship, and third-party infrastructure may affect whether and when a claim succeeds.
5. Fees
Any applicable fees will be shown before you confirm an action. Blockchain network fees are set by the network, not by us. In the current build there are no platform fees on the gifted amount itself.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to: break any law or regulation; launder money or finance illegal activity; infringe others’ rights; send unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content; or interfere with, attack, or reverse-engineer the Service or its infrastructure.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including the underlying blockchain, hosting, and market-price providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or actions. Your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
8. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, assets, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim or USD 100.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms or the Service at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be handled in the courts of [your jurisdiction], unless applicable law requires otherwise.
